I got home late on Sunday nite after a really great weekend in Boston. It was so good to see my friends, see some great theatre, take a short day trip to Mystic, and hang out in downtown Boston. Unlike the rainy weather here in NYC, we actually had great weather over there (at least on Saturday).

My friend Jenny Lynn was fantastic as the Mother Abbess. I dont think its possible to listen to “Climb Every Mountain” without getting chills, but she did it especially well. It was really a great production and I can see why it got so many good reviews. Patrick Cassidy was great too, although he was a little bit sick that nite. We tried getting a pic with him, but he had already left.

Boston is so cool-especially in the South End. So many pretty brownstones. If I werent so addicted to NYC, its the one other NE city I’d consider living in. Although I couldnt help but notice how early everything closed.  It wasnt even midnite when we got downtown (on a Saturday nite!) and things were already shutting own. There was only time for one drink before having to head out.

On the way back, we stopped in Mystic, CT (as in “Mystic Pizza”- with Julia Roberts) and that was a lot of fun. We took a little tour of a small ship town, and later had dinner there.

I took some pics over the weekend and will post them soon, along with the others from the Garden and Coney Island.

Have a nice nite!!
