I have been back for a week already. Time flies. It feels as though the minute I landed I was sucked back into a whirlwind of activities and obligations.
I am trying to stick to my new years commmitment of doing less and committing to fewer things. I “gave back” one of my students this week because it was just too much at one time. I still have one student left, which will help me to stay at least a little bit connected to the community. Thats part of the advantage of volunteering or working part time with kids. It keeps you connected to another part of society, helps keeps things in perspective.
Had a grueling day at the dentist yesterday but got to work to receive some unexpected surprises. We won another advertising award and so there were a lot of festivities going on all day. Very nice way to start the week, I must say. 🙂
I am wrapping up my indie-gogo campaign this week. It wasnt quite as successful as Kickstarter was, partly because I was so burned out from KS and the fundraiser that I didnt put as much into this one as I could have. But I am grateful for the support that I did receive. Next big step is to do a huge mailing to larger companies.
